THE OTHER DAY IN A TAXI

Before I left for Singapore I was on a taxi that passed through Causeway Bay and Central. There was traffic so, the time was there to look around on the street. I saw loads of people that I've worked with or associated with in Hong Kong. There were some production people, there were party people...all doin' there thing, unknowing that I'm watching from a taxi. Lots of memories floated by and seeing all these people, well, I kinda realize that life keeps on moving. But, the most crazy was when I saw my 'puppy love' in high school. She was standing on the street and looked well. We caught eyes but, I don't think she recognized me. Or we both did the Hong Kong thing and just ignored each other. I hear she's married, I think has a kid, but anyways she still got a place in my heart. Even though I went from point A-2-B, that was a taxi ride into the past.

DREAMS

I've been having vivid dreams lately. I wish I can make them into short films. There's not much dialogue but lots of meaning in the images. I was thinking of leaving a voice recorder by my bedside so, that I can recall my dreams via audio. It's pretty interesting stuff and you can find insights about deep thoughts and feelings. But, don't have one and lazy at the moment to do it. One day...

Can't believe it's Friday already. I haven't really had time to upload any photos. Will do this weekend. Music is good, working on a compilation album for the heads...you'll see it soon enough. I'm excited to fly out of her next Monday :) My sister left yesterday...she's gone to Dubai to be an air hostess. She's pretty adventurous and hope she'll have a good time.

LOST

Been catching up with the "Lost" series. Season I is ok, Season II is better, Season III is really frustrating because the "others" are such manipulating people (stress level goes up watching this). However, it feels great seeing them get wasted after abusing our plane crash survivors! Revenge is sweet...

PREPARATION

We're gonna be in Singapore next week. Looking forward to another trip with the 24Herbs crew. Busy rehearsing and getting new material together. Anyways, looking forward to the trip. Good food, fun times and travelling.

Finally, did it after about 15 years of thinking about getting ink'd. Well, I didn't think about it everyday...just that it was in the back of my mind to one day step up to the plate.

Maybe it was hanging out with the crew (24Herbs who got pieces), or watching 3hours of tattooing every Sunday night (LA Ink, Miami Ink, Tattoo Wars) that delivered me to the moment. Shout-out to VV & LOC who accompanied me, Phat for being a bro and helping me along and of course Gabe @ Dragon Ace Tattoo for the dope work. His love for skulls is equal and above mine!

Whatever the reason, I'm on the journey to get blasted by artists around the world. The tattoo gives me new energy to do my sh*t the best I can. It's corny but, truth is corny a lot of the time.

Btw, I got 'a skull with wings'. Pretty simple, but they're both something I can live with the rest of my life. The wings are dedicated to my guardian angels that look after me and the skull is for the respect I have for life and death. You got this time living, make it how you wanna.

MORE BARGAIN BIN

I've raided alot of the bargain bins, lifting the boom-bap and classics that no one appreciates. The saying "one man's trash, is another man's treasure" relates to me. Anyways, I picked up:

1. Prince Paul / Prince Among Thieves

2. Aesop Rock / Bazooka Tooth

My friend who use to own a record store was always pushing Prince Paul. Maybe because he was pushin' so hard, i didn't buy it. But, now listening, it's pretty good. It's a concept album...kinda like a movie. I listened to the whole thing and let the pictures come through. It's abit cliche, a black dude hustlin' but, you must take in account this was '99, still the story comes through, beats are dope and Prince Paul is dope. He definitely got a new fan.

Aesop Rock...I dig this dude alot, even though I don't understand what he's saying. The music is raw, dirty just the way I like it. People can't appreciate the raw/dirty in Hong Kong because everything is perfect and clean. If it isn't then it will be. I got to have a few more listens...but, I love the direction and his steez.

24Herbs just had a meeting after about a month hiatus. We're going to Singapore this month and next month Bangkok. Yeh! Going on tour...keepin' it raw/dirty + perfect/clean!
