Yup. Just wanted to mark this date on my blog. My B-day. Thanks to everyone who sent their greetings, got me gifts, hung out...I'm not one to celebrate b-days, because they make me think too much. Reflecting on the year past and the future year to come. My goal for '09 is to focus on music, produce an album and start laying to ground work for my life. It's been a blast so far and I know there is much more out there. Wish you all the same and more success for the year to come-peace!

Topicks : Made In Hong Kong

Just wanted to highlight some great musical jewels made in the 2008.
Yes, I'm bias because they're my friends, but to be fair they each brought
something unique to the scene and in some ways influence alot of music
coming out of the mainstream. They got their own styles and put themselves
out there. It's a risk or challenge to try new things. So, in 2009, looking forward
to hearing your stuff again! No dumbing-down the masses, elevate to a higher level! Happy Holidays!
PS: The list isn't complete, so shout-out to you if you also released your music to the world!

macau : All's Well That Ends Well 2009
Thursday night, I was up in Macau with Phat, Tung Tung and my friend Kasper. We went to support Vincent Kok and his upcoming film "All's Well That Ends Well 2009". Pretty relaxed and enjoyable dinner party, most of the guest had to take turns on the mic, so, I took hold of a meat cleaver and proceeded to hack away at Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry" :) After dinner the night was ours, I got 'taxed' at the casino, then, drinks, hiphop music, amazing food after-drinking spot. Well, guess I was looking rough in the morning, got pulled to the side at the customs...urghh! One night in Macau...
This photo is taken by a dude we met 'Jackie'. I passed him the camera and he got creative with the angle. But, came out nice: We look like a hip hop group :)

Singer : Scott Weiland

You know him from STP (Stone Temple Pilots), or Velvet Revolver.
He was definitely one of my favorite singers during the 'grunge' age.
Along with baritone peers like Layne Stanley (Alice In Chains), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, AudioSlave).
He's got a new album out "Happy In Galoshes". I read this review that gave him
1star (Boston Phoenix)!! Man, harsh. But, who cares about music critics!
Music is art and for Weiland I assume it's an art thing. My vote: it's healthy to take chances and
go into different directions with the music. I've heard a few tracks so far and
safe to say I'm still a fan.
